Love him or hate him, we must all admit that Lil Wayne is indeed an ever-lasting Pop Culture
Malawi-born singer, Esau Mwamwaya and Johan Hugo (Radioclit DJ) are gearing up up release their sophomore album this Summer, MTMTMK; The Very Best's long-awaited follow-up to Warm Heart of Africa has been in-the-works for the past 2 years... slowly recorded across Sweden, New York, and Malawi has now finally come to fruition! "Yoshua Alikuti" was filmed by Village Beat throughout Kenya's capital city, Nairobi. It basically showcases Esau & Johan doing their best Lil Wayne/bodyguard impressions a la "A Milli" (2008). Familiar, albeit slightly tweaked, scenes include: barber shop shape-up, red jeans with hi-tops, adoring fans, backstage footage, an ever-growing posse, censored beverage, TO BE CONTINUED, etc. All and all, pretty cool to see another culture's take on such a massive American hit! The Very Best's MTMTMK is slated for a July 14th release, by way of Moshi Moshi (Cooperative Music).
