Philly Punks Brackish Re-emerge with New Line-up & Worlds EP Produced By The Menzingers' Andy Clarke & Tom May (Black Numbers)
Brackish is an unabashedly Punk/Hardcore band originally hailing from Trenton, NJ and currently based out of Philly. Championed by Darko The Super, Lt. Headtrip, Ray Strife, and my older cousin Josh, Brackish make a nostalgic, yet extremely modern brand of early 2000's-reminiscent Screamo/Emo & Pop-Punk. If you are/were ever a fan of Bayside, Dashboard Confessional, Take This to Your Grave-era Fall Out Boy, Glassjaw, Jimmy Eat World, Midtown, Saves The Day, Senses Fail, Sunny Day Real Estate, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, or The Used, I would strongly suggest checking out Brackish. The Witzard, as you may well remember, previously featured Brackish's 2017 Black Numbers EP and 7-inch, Coming Down. Today, they're back with yet another EP on Black Numbers (their third overall) simply titled Worlds; once again, produced by The Menzingers' Andy Clarke & Tom May at Retro City Studios in Philly with drums recorded by Sean Glonek at SRG Studios in Hamilton, NJ and mastered by Rachel Lighter of Nervous Dater.
This time, however, Brackish have re-emerged with an entirely new line-up than both Young People (2015) and Coming Down (2017) - consisting of long-time members Connor Byrne & Nick Rosica, as well as former YJY bassist Tim Fitzpatrick AKA Tim Fitz and current Sick Sh*t drummer Zach Miller. "Here's our newest effort, Worlds, in its entirety. Some of these songs are so old they were written in 2009 and others were written right before we went into the studio. So thankful to present them to the world," Brackish (@Brackishtheband) wrote within a heart-warming Facebook post Friday morning. "Please, take the time to listen and share it, if you like it. Thank you so much for your time and support ❤️" they continued. Brackish's phenomenal 5-track Worlds EP is currently available to stream or download from Amazon, Apple Music, Bandcamp, Spotify, and like-minded digital retailers. Brackish are planning to hit the road with Awakebutstillinbed for their 6-date June Tour 2018 across the East Coast spanning 6/11-16.
