Following months of leaked "details," teaser clips, rumored titles, and announced/nixed release dates, finally comes some solid Foo Fighters news:
The band's seventh studio album (supposedly titled "Wasting Light") finally has an official April 12th release date. The first full-length track, "White Limo," premiered Online Valentine's Day 2011. The visual accompaniment features Lemmy* of Motörhead-fame, grainy/crazy antics, "so bad it's good" acting, and raw, Punk Rock-style vocals.
The collection's single #1, "Rope," is set to debut on March 1st. Other tracks set to appear on the 11-track Butch Vig**-produced set include "These Days," "Back + Forth," "Walk," and "Dear Rosemary." Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Bob Mould (Hüsker Dü), former Foo Pat Smear [now back in the fold], and legendary Alt. Rock mixer, Alan Moulder.
* Formerly guesting on Grohl's Heavy Metal side-project, Probot (2004).
** Notable for previously helming Nirvana's 1991 "commercial break-through," Nevermind.
