Fresh off the heels of the House of Balloons mixtape, comes the latest offering from The Weeknd: "Rolling Stone." R&B crooner, Abel Tesfaye has indicated that the past collection was the introductory part of a 2011 album arc - "Balloon Trilogy." Parts 2-3 will reportedly be dubbed Thursdays [Summer] and Echoes of Silence... [Fall].
"Rolling Stone" seems to be the first taste of Thursdays, which Abel (@theweekndxo) has recently announced "is coming sooner than you think." Capped off by a fuzzed out feedback-filled intro, Abel proceeds to lay down an assortment of "ohs" and "ahs" over a sparse acoustic/percussive backing track. One can assume that the piece was produced by frequent collaborators, Doc McKinney & ILLANGELO. Pay close attention to The Weeknd's respective Social Media feeds, as additional release information pertaining to the 2 upcoming mixtapes is soon to be released.
