The Witzard

Let it be known on-record: Action Bronson is easily one of our favorite emcees! Maybe, it's his zaniness, charisma, orsharp-tonged emceeing skills, love for food, natural wine, wrestling, and obscure 90's films, next-level sample selection, or propensity for randomly bustin' out a backflip. In addition to his emceeing skills, Bronson is an acclaimed chef, television personality, and actor on the rise; he has his own food/travel show on VICE, F*CK, THAT'S DELICIOUS! and has appeared on-screen in Game Over, Man! The Irishman, and, most recently, The King of Staten Island. However, maybe, most amazingly, during Quarantine, thanks to his close friend and personal trainer, Dave Paladino (@davepfit) has lost upwards of 100 pounds! Bam Bam Bronsolino, as he's often called, released his most recent amazingly-titled album, Only for Dolphins , during Quarantine, as well, on Loma Vista Recordings/Caroline International. Yes, this now means Action Bronson AND Marilyn Mans...

"The collaboration started with a text message from [Iggy] Pop to [Josh] Homme , who recalled, "it basically said, 'hey, it would be great if we got together and maybe write something sometime – Iggy ,'" The New York Times wrote within a recently published piece announcing Pop & Homme 's feverishly-awaited collaborative album, Post Pop Depression . Iggy Pop and Queens of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme performed on Colbert with a suit-clad six-piece band, which included Dead Weather guitar/keyboard player Dean Fertita , Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders , Troy Van Leeuwen on guitar, and former Superwolf bassist Matt Sweeney . It almost feels as thou...

Once you get past the deeply religious/Satanic imagery, 5 Nameless Ghouls , and dark brooding undertones, Ghost [B.C.] are a damn good Heavy Metal/Rock band; However, I'd personally liken them more to formative Heavy Metal bands like Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult , etc. despite repeated allusions to the occult. Ghost are fronted by a mysterious Pope -like figurehead who goes by "Papa Emeritus II" (formerly Papa Emeritus ) and he's usually flanked on-stage by 5 cloaked Nameless Ghouls , which each represent the five elements: fire, water, wind, Earth , and ether. Filmed by Rob Semmer at 2 recent Los Angeles and New York -based gigs, the band's new video "Monstrance Clock" is pretty much your standard Rock "N" Roll performance clip. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to catch the tail-end of the Swedes' blistering set at Metallica 's first annual Orion Music + More Festival last summer... It's the last track on Ghost 's ...
