Funny or Die & Mallard Air Present: Chromeo - "Frequent Flyer" (Last Gang)

First, it was their suspiciously unprofessional @MallardAir Twitter handle, vaguely Street Boners -esque Chromeo's Airport Styles Instagram page, and their recently-announced 36-date Frequent Flyer Tour ; all of this kinda seemed like an elaborate promotional campaign for Chromeo 's latest White Women single, coincidentally titled "Frequent Flyer" or a possible tour with brother-band, Duck Sauce . Just this past Monday, Dave 1 & P-Thugg have teamed up with Funny or Die to present a hilarious Mallard Air in-flight safety video that dually functions as a music video for, you guessed it... "Frequent Flyer." The Funk Lordz bring their self-described and critically-acclaimed brand of "Larry David Funk" to Mallard 's above average airline safety video, which includes precautionary guidelines like "in the event of a water landing, disco floor lights will illuminate the way." One extremely lucky Mallard flight attendant, of c...

Funny or Die Presents: Har Mar Superstar - "Restless Leg" (Cult Records)

While I wouldn't exactly go as far as to automatically mislabel Har Mar Superstar 's most recent album, Bye Bye 17 as "Blue-Eyed Soul" or anything resembling lazy new age Neo-Soul genre tags, frontman Sean Tillmann probably owes more to guys like Justin Timberlake , Mayer Hawthorne, and Robin Thicke than he would probably ever willingly like to admit. Tillmann's latest music video/single was directed by frequent Strokes collaborator Warren Fu , who's previously worked with long-time frontman Cult Records founder Julian Casablancas ; at it's core, "Restless Leg" is a charming, yet vaguely disturbing video centered around an interesting man-on-puppet pseudo-love triangle, which was co-directed by contained Viva La Puppet puppeteer Michelle Zamora . No matter how you may feel about a little tasteful man-on-puppet action, Bye Bye 17 is a very easily accessible album, chock-full of white boy Soul-Funk/R&B; something to the effect of mid...

How to Piss In Public: FIDLAR - "Cocaine" (Nick Offerman's "swan, son")

It's pretty damn awesome and utterly ridiculous that a respected online news magazine like The Hollywood Reporter seriously tried to interview FIDLAR bassist Brandon Schwartzel about Nick Offerman 's dick! FIDLAR recorded a righteous Skate Punk -infused cover of traditional standard "Cocaine [Blues]" for their self-titled full-length and somehow managed to recruit Offerman for the Ryan Baxley -directed video, which was unleashed 2 Fridays ago. Sounds like the Parks & Rec actor (Ron Swanson) is a family friend of Max & Elvis Kuehn 's dad, Greg , a founding member of Long Beach Punk legends T.S.O.L. : "[Greg]'s played music for a long time with Nick's wife Megan Mullally -- she does music when she's not acting. Nick would do these comedy shows every now and then, and play music -- Elvis played with him a few times. Elvis played him some stuff, and we always were hinting, "Oh man, it would be awesome if you did a FIDLAR video!...
