"More Than Toast" Re-mastered Single/Flexi-disc from Mtx forever: A HISTORY OF THE CONCEPT OF THE MR. T EXPERIENCE (Sounds Rad!)

The Mr. T Experience (oftentimes, abbreviated as "MTX" ) are a long-standing Punk Rock/Pop-Punk establishment hailing from Berkeley, California. MTX have been active ever since 1985 and are a product of the same local "scene" as The Donnas/Electrocutes, Green Day, Jawbreaker, NOFX, Operation Ivy, Rancid, and Tilt. They, also, share stylistic similarities with other bands not native to The Bay Area, who are, often, closely associated with this movement, such as The Queers, Screeching Weasel, and The Groovie Ghoulies. MTX 's unique sound is, additionally, characterized by a heavy Ramones-ian influence and they even went as far as to cover 1978's Road to Ruin in full, as part of Selfless/Clearview Records' Ramones Covers Album Series. MTX were mainstays at iconic Punk/Hardcore club, 924 Gilman Street/Gilman during the 1990-2000's and were signed to Lookout! Records 'til about 2004. The Mr. T Experience 's current line-up consists of "D...

Def Jam & WEDIDIT Present: Jeremih & Shlohmo - "No More" (Untitled EP)

"Birthday Sex" crooner Jeremih has teamed back up with LA -based Electro/Hip-Hop producer and beat-maker Shlohmo to release "No More" just in time for inclusion on your nearly-finalized Valentine's Day playlist. NPR of all places premiered the latest Future-R&B track from the pair, which they further described as "the first single from their forthcoming [WEDIDIT/Def Jam] joint EP, and it's edgy, 3am, come-down-after-the-club music... more Avante-Garde than club-friendly." It's definitely amongst a recent crop of Kanye -inspired sinister-leaning love songs; Shlohmo initially remixed Jeremih 's Late Nights mixtape track, "F_ck U All The Time" around late 2012 and then linked back up for "Bo Peep (Do U Right)" for Yours Truly and Adidas' Songs from Scratch collaborative video-series. While Jeremih & Shlohmo 's long-rumored Untitled EP was previously slated for a February 2014 release, whi...

next level rappin': Antwon - "Still Guarded" (Greedhead Valentine?)

Antwon is a rare breed of genre-blending rapper, even in this diverse Internet Age ; The San Jose -based emcee "cut his teeth" playing bass in a number of East/West Coast Hardcore bands throughout the early 2000's. Antwon 's currently gearing up to release his fourth independent project since 2011, In Dark Denim - which is the proper follow-up to last year's critically-acclaimed END OF EARTH and his first mixtape assembled along with Greedhead (Heems') creative backing. Track #11 of 11, "Still Guarded" was unleashed post- Hump Day , just in time for your rowdy weekend festivities and roughly 2 weeks a head of In Dark Denim 's slated Valentine's Day [Feb. 14th] release. Antwon properly laces up a hazy Chillwave/Cloud Rap -tinged Cities Aviv -produced beat, which ends up sounding like a glitched out Biggie impersonation. While it doesn't even last 2 minutes, director Romoface (Uncle Dee) somehow manages to make "Still ...
