Cruel Summer (1)

Restless People are a cool new band. This is one of their songs: Here's a little bit about them: "When [Restless People] get together they talk about the internet, jeans, shoes, car repair, jobs, barber shops, positivity, sports, seltzer, appropriation, beer, relationships, style, pretzels and reality. They talk about music using adjectives like punk, pop, adult contemporary, global, dance and emotional. They argue with each other and tell lots of jokes." ha Their self-titled debut album is out on Sept. 14, via IAMSOUND. 2 of the guys are also in a band called Tanlines. This is one of their jams: The 2 bands sound similar. "Real Life" is from Tanlines' Settings EP... They should have a full-length out shortly. And here's a sweet (totally unrelated) video from Tokyo Police Club. Saw these guys @ The Mann Center in Philly with my cuz a few months ago. [Their songs sound even catchier live!] Pick up their new CD, Champ.

Some "Easy Lovin'" chill-out music (An attempt to beat the heat)

Now this is a true SUMMER JAM! Mayer Hawthorne's newly-released "Your Easy Lovin' Ain't Pleasin' Nothin'" video!.. Great choreography and smokin' hot HOTTIES to accompany this hot, summer day: These are some cool videos, as well!: The Black Keys' "Tighten Up" (video #2) And the Frank the Alligator-fronted "Next Girl" viral/promo video Keep your eye on that Dan Auerbach-penned scroll, if you can ha

I think this is "Dance Music.."

This is a cool new Cee-Lo track (a [STELLAR!] Band of Horses cover), produced by Paul Epworth. It's from the forthcoming "Cee-Lo Green Is the Lady Killer." Q and Not U were a now-defunct post-hardcore/dance-punk band that hailed from DC, and were signed to Discord Records (home to Fugazi & Minor Threat). Some Pictureplane.. "Goth Star," which samples Fleetwood Mac's "Seven Wonders." I guess this is trance music ha. This fan-made video's rather RAD, as well! Says it was made on an iPhone..!? And here's "Memories" from David Guetta [-feat. KiD CuDi]. This is a very catchy JAM by way of the French house producer/DJ, who's been "on the rise" for a while now. Guetta has worked with the Black Eyed Peas, Akon, LMFAO, Lil' Wayne, Chris Willis, Kelly Rowland, and many other various artists.

I just simply think this deserves a blog post.. and a gold star.

Here's a live (censored) TV performance of Kanye's new, King Crimson-sampling, single, "Power." Mr. West's new album (titled "A Good Ass Job" or "????.") is out on September 14, along with albums from KiD CuDi and 2 other G.O.O.D. label-mates. I've always been a Kanye fan (through all the BS, ranks, etc.), and I have to say, I'm really looking forward to his new set of music. I think he really has a lot to prove this time. And honestly, if the album bombs, his career might be headed into a downward spiral. But the list of rumored producers an collaborators (including Madlib, RZA, Drake, Pete Rock, Rick Ross, Q-Tip, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z and DJ Premier) sounds rather SWEET! so, mark your calendar's as "G.O.O.D. Music Day!.."

The (Legendary) Roots (Crew) Post

So, today is the day.. Just about one year since the title single and the album's existence were announced - The Roots' How I Got Over is out today! What I've heard so far has been really good! (I mean, what do you expect, it's THE ROOTS!) I also think that their nation-wide exposure via Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will really give them that much deserved final push into the mainstream. And for for the goodies!: The "How I Got Over" visual. "The Fire" (Remix) with B.o.B. & John Legend link. http://www.okayplayer.com/news/Audio-The-Roots-The-Fire-Remix-feat.-B.o.B-John-Legend.html The lead video-single. And finally, the album-sampling widget. Now, get out there and purchase of How I Got Over!!!

crazyAWESOME, Random Video-age (1)

Yeah.. Basically just some cool, yet random, musical video-singles. Bang Pop FREE ENERGY | MySpace Music Videos Vampire Weekend's legitimately old school "Holiday" clip. And Asher Roth up to some shenanigans in the supermarket, as seen in the "Muddy Swim Trunks" video.
