Liquid Death Presents... The Bronx & Mariachi El Bronx Halloween Dead Stream Announced for October 30-November 1 (Halloween Weekend)

The Bronx are a long-standing Punk/Hardcore band hailing from LA, who have been together since 2002. Its members moonlight as both Mariachi El Bronx AND Pounded By The Surf. The Bronx have, somewhat confusingly, released four albums simply titled "The Bronx" between 2003-13 with their fifth being titled "V." Amidst those, they've released three separate albums titled "Mariachi El Bronx" with a slightly expanded line-up between 2009-14. However, Instrumental SurfRock/Western (side) side-project, Pounded By The Surf, has only released one album, No Waves... in 2015 to date. Last year, The Bronx released a career-spanning two-volume/2xLP compilation entitled Dead Tracks, Vol. 1-2, which consists of B-sides, rarities, and demos.

Earlier this year, Mariachi El Bronx released their own similarly-midned career-spanning two-volume comp. dubbed Música Muerta, Vol. 1-2 this time, containing an assortment of previously unreleased B-Sides, covers, and live tracks. It appears as though The Bronx's primarly line-up consists of Matt Caughthran, Joby J. Ford, Brad Mangers & Ken Horne with Mariachi El Bronx's line-up adding in Ray Suen, Rebecca Schlappich, Vincent Hidalgo, and Ex-Mad Caddies player Keith Douglas. Pounded By The Surf's line-up across No Waves... appears to have featured Joby J. Ford, Thaddeus Robles, Brad Magers, and Vincent Hidalgo. Now, for the first time ever, The Bronx & Mariachi El Bronx will collide as one cohesive 10-person super-group for a special 3-day performance: Liquid Death Presents... The Bronx & Mariachi El Bronx Halloween Dead Stream.

Said pre-recorded one-hour intimate concert will be streamed from Friday, October 30th through Sunday November 1st with exclusive Bronx-O-Vision merchandise available to commemorate this historic virtual event. "This historic and monu-MENTAL sonic vaccine event will be the first of its kind, equal parts power-house Punk, melancholy Mariachi, and hallucinogenic Horror," explains a joint press release. "Your mind will be tricked and your ears will be treated as BOTH bands place a foot in the grave, collectively shredding between this world and the next. The event will feature re-imagined tracks from both acts performed by both bands." Long-time The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx guitarist and founding member Joby J. Ford adds, "we've been home so long, a 10-person band makes perfect sense right now..."

The Bronx & Mariachi El Bronx's Halloween Dead Stream will premeire world-wide on Friday, October 30, 2020 (Devil's Night) at 5:00pm PST/8:00pm EST/1:00am UK and run through Halloween Weekend ending on Sunday, November 1. According to said press release, "Side Effects May Include: spontaneous orgasm, better taste in music, [and] possible jail time." Tickets for Liquid Death Presents... The Bronx & Mariachi El Bronx Halloween Dead Stream are $11, but the $25 "Stranglers Special" runs through this Sunday, October 24, 2020 ONLY and includes a limited edition SIGNED glow-in-the-dark poster. It appears as though The Bronx have recently completed their highly-anticipated sixth studio album aptly-titled VI, which is expected to see a 2021 release. Both Mariachi El Bronx's Música Muerta, Vol. 1-2 and The Bronx's Dead Tracks, Vol. 1-2 are currently availabel on streaming services, via the bands' own White Drugs.

"Let Me Shine for You:" Lindsay Lohan for Playboy (Winter 2011-12 Leak)

Lindsay Lohan essentially embodies exactly "What NOT to Do In Hollywood :" Fame, fortune, success... sex, drugs & Rock "N" Roll . Within a fairly short period of time, Lohan somehow managed to obtain a plentiful helping of POWER @ a very young age. This gradual rise-downfall was captured on film; Between 1998-2010, she portrayed a wide array of roles across the silver screen in movies including: Mean Girls, Bobby , Herbie Fully Loaded , Georgia Rule, Machete , and Freaky Friday . Between rapid-paced film shoots, Lindsay Lohan also found time to record 2 Pop Rock albums for Casablanca , Speak (2004) and A Litter More Personal-Raw (2005). Needless to say, Lindsay Lohan has gotten roped up in a lot of troubles and woes with the law over the last 3-5 years... a vicious cycle of drugs, arrest, court, rehab, "daddy issues," jail time [Repeat]. That's the pure basics of it - But Google that shit for additional info, if necessary. Towards the end of...

[W]reckless, Topless American Youth: Lana del Rey - "Born 2 Die" (Britney Spears Birthday 30)

Lana del Rey [Lizzy Grant] effectively became 2011's "It Girl" with the release of her phenomenal debut single, "Video Games" (Stranger) . Like many struggling singer-songwriters, Grant has been signed, dropped, and significantly changed her public image since bursting onto the scene (2009). With that said, it can be assumed that Lana del Rey has collected just as many "haters" as she has avid supporters. To be perfectly honest, the only other artist I can think of that made this much commotion... garnered so much wide-spread buzz/hate and critical acclaim -- right out of the gates -- with just one track is Britney Spears . And maybe in this post- Mike musical era, that's the true synthesis of Pop Culture: Britney Lynn Spears . After months of repeated teasing and speculation, Lana del Rey 's major label debut, Born 2 Die will [finally] be released this coming Jan. 30-31, 2012. Pitchfork reports that it will feature "Off to The Ra...

Liberty Bell Cracked In 1/2: Ween - "Freedom of '76" (Gene Ween's Final Send-Off)

Chocolate & Cheese (1994) was one of the first albums I bought with my own money. I was in some sort of BMG Music Club , where you'd buy 5 CD's and then get 10 for "FREE." It was all sent through mail order and you picked the titles from some special booklet. I'm almost positive that Chocolate & Cheese's side boob-baring album cover was what initially drew me in... mind you, I was 12-15 and the zany Ween logo/middle finger CD graphic really didn't hurt either. Honestly, I forget how I really felt about it @ the time, but a few years later, my older cousin Josh told me that Ween were this BIG college "jam band." CKY did some sort pf 93.3 radio takeover to promote their new album and played "Freedom of '76" late that night on air. Needless to say, I re-visited Chocolate & Cheese @ about 20-something this go 'round and I fucking loved it! Ween were really weird, yet talented... almost too talented. I can vaguel...
