The Roughneck Riot Bassist, Guitarist & Background Vocalist Ryan Taylor Talks New Album Burn It to The Ground (The Witzard Interview)

The Roughneck Riot - CREDIT: Jim Taylor (@jimtaylorphoto) The Roughneck Riot have recently unveiled their forth studio album, Burn It to The Ground, on SBÄM Records . The Folk-Punks from Warrington, UK shared their debut release, Night Train with The Reaper , self-released in 2010. Since then, this band of highly talented musicians have become Folk-Punk legends. Armed with banjos, mandolins, an accordion, and, of course, guitar, bass, and drums, they are often mentioned in the same breath as greats, like Flogging Molly & Dropkick Murphys. When it comes to The Roughneck Riot, a political and socially-critical message and the passion for Punk Rock are, clearly, the mission first and foremost. The Roughneck Riot are without a doubt anti-Fascist and anti-"d*ckhead" (but aren't we all?) who believe International solidarity is more important now than ever. Burn It to The Ground is an album born out of what the band calls a "post-Brexit Apocalypse" that takes t...

California Horror Punk Revivalists Love Equals Death Return with Halloween B-sides & Rarities Comp. (SBÄM/Say-10 Records)

The return of Death Punk: Love Equals Death is about to release a career-spanning compilation of their material, including B-sides, on Halloween. The California Death Punk cult band will release a new album called The Hour of Resurrection on October 29th and are releasing a single entitled "At War (with Myself)" today. Their 2006 album, Nightmerica , produced by Bill Stevenson (Descendents) and Jason Livermore, was released on Fat Wreck Chords. Following Nightmerica, Love Equals Death relentlessly toured across the world with kindred spirits AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, The Distillers, No Use for A Name, Pennywise, The Suicide Machines, Tiger Army, and, of course numerous Warped Tours. Founding member of Love Equals Death included Tsunami Bomb's...

Chris "Swiss" Swinney Forms Fire Sale with Members of Face to Face, No Use for A Name, Protest The Hero & ShotClock (The Witzard Interview)

Fire Sale was formed during The Pandemic and their first songs were made entirely from their home studios during isolation. The band includes Matt Riddle, as well as members who have spent time playing with Ann Beretta, Fun Size, Making Enemies, Protest The Hero, Pulley, and ShotClock. "I like to take inspiration from stories from a historical point of view and use them as a theme," says guitarist and founder of Fire Sale, Christopher "Chris" (Swiss) Swinney, who previously played with The Ataris. "Then our singer, Pedro, takes it all and formulates a great lyric!" The Mercy Brown Vampire Incident, a well-known story here in The US: a whole family was killed by tuberculosis around The 19th Century, but one of the daughters, Mercy Brown, still had blood in her heart, which was enough for the medical examiner to eviscerate the body and label Mercy Brown as a "vampire" responsible for the disease that took out her entire family. "I like to...

All-around Breakdown: Best of Würst Liner Notes By Ray Castro "with A Little Extra Fact-checking By The Rest of Bracket" (SBÄM Records)

"I've always been a huge fan of Bracket. I love their unique sound and their catchy melodies. It all started with the idea to have them play my festival in Austria, SBÄM Fest. Every year I tried to fly them in just for the show. Without any luck so far—I still bother them and I won't give up until they play 😉 And since I'm a big fan of their music, I asked Angelo [Celli] if they have any unreleased stuff they wanna put out. The Rare Cuts songs are killer and they needed a proper release. So, Best of Würst (BOW) was born. [By the way,] Angelo came up with the title—I really love it. And here's a little spoiler... it doesn't end with BOW; we have some other plans for 2021. More news soon!" - SBÄM (@sbamrocks) Best Of Würst (2020) by Bracket 01. "[Do You Remember] Rock "N" Roll Radio" "We did this for an all-Ramones covers comp. album called Ramones Maniacs released in 2001 and played it pretty much in-line with the original,...
