[TITLE HOLDER] Share First Track of 2023 with "Going Insane" from Upcoming What Better Time (TITLE HOLDER MUSIC GROUP)

If necessity is the mother of invention, then, it's no surprise that [TITLE HOLDER]'s creation was born at the height of The COVID Pandemic. Formed in 2020 by then-Queens-based singer/song-writer Matt Sullivan, his unique take on Ska & Pop-punk is an honest and earnest take on two genres that have seen their fair share of silly fads and trends. The result is [TITLE HOLDER]'s undeniable energy and Pop sensability that quickly gained the attention of Chris DeMakes (Less Than Jake, The Bruce Lee Band,) who produced and helped arrange several of the tracks from Sullivan's debut recorded effort, the six-song EP, The Story of My Life . Ready and eager to bring their energetic live show on the road, the band followed the release of The Story of My Life by sharing the stage and supporting the likes of CATBITE, J. Navarro & The Traitors (The Suicide Machines,) Mustard Plug, The Pietasters, Spring Heeled Jack, and more. Milwaukee-based Interstate Music even selected [TI...

Bad Finger Boogie: Mumform & Sons with Vampire Weekend and Friends - "With a Little Help from My Friends" (Glastonbury)

Well, this is quite easily the coolest impromptu event I've seen or heard happen in mainstream music in quite some time; Dusting off any pre-concieved notions of banjo-aided Bluegrass or College Rock labeling, frontman Marcus Mumford recruited a couple of friends to help his band, Mumford & Sons , perform a spirited cover of The Beatles/Joe Cocker 's two-headed hit, "With a Little Help from My Friends" at Glastonbury last night. Mumford's posse was effectively joined on stage by Ezra Koenig and 2 additional members of Vampire Weekend, The Vaccines, First Aid Kit, Staves , and a few more musically-inclined buddies. Mumford & Sons seem to have modeled their call-and-response cover after Cocker's Soul -drenched 1968 rendition, which I first heard on The Wonders Years as a kid... not even knowing it was a Beatles song 'til years later! The original "With a Little Help from My Friends" is of course, comfortably nestled within The Be...

Marilyn Manson & Shia LaBeouf - "Born Villain" (Short Film)

" Born Villain is the title of the new Marilyn Manson album. While looking to experiment in unlikely collaborations, I met Shia, and we spent a long night at my studio. After seeing "Maniac," his [ KiD CuDi ] short film, which is somewhat inspired by Man Bites Dog , I was astonished by his directing ability. So, I shared quite a few of my favorite inspirations in art, literature, and obviously film. I was impressed with how Shia [LeBeouf] digested my world, and made what I'd like to think, is both an homage and a mockery of the history of cinema. We ended up writing a short film. The score is from my new album, and is, in the words of Macbeth , "Full of sound and fury.'" - Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson) Shai LeBeouf put it best when he recently confessed that "In my teenage years, [Marilyn Manson] was the scariest thing in the world, so part of me has always been intrigued. " As Shai and I are generally the same age (24-25), I share the s...
