Darko The Super Shares The Nu-Rons-sampling "Loner" from Upcoming Bandcamp Friday Album Cruising with Darko & The Jets (Cold Rhymes Records)

Earlier this week, Philly-based rapper, producer, and resident weirdo Darko The Super announced the sheer existence of his new album available for pre-order. Cruising with Darko & The Jets will be released this upcoming Friday, September 3rd (the next Bandcamp Friday) through his friends at Cold Rhymes Records. Along with the album announcement and pre-order, Darko shared the first single from Cruising with Darko & The Jets, "Loner." It's been described as Darko The Super's Ghostface Killah-inspired homage over a Philadelphia Soul classic by The Nu-Ron's. Darko was seemingly exposed to said sample by Peter Maxwell "Max" Ochester at Brewerytown Beats/Records. Max's imprint, Brewerytown Records, recently released a digital collection titled All My Life (The Songs of Manny Campbell) featuring, amongst other dusty stand-outs, The Nu-Rons' "I'm A Loner," as sampled by Darko The Super throughout "Loner."

Cruising with Darko & The Jets is fully produced by Darko The Super himself with features peppered throughout from Torito, NOSAJ from New Kingdom, Height Keech, Ardamus, andrew. and Steve Sachs. "Name everyone on the front cover and win a free CD! Also, Subscribe to Cold Rhymes' Bandcamp [page] to hear an official companion mixtape to the album called Crew Zen, featuring unreleased tracks, samples, and a deeper look into Darko's creative process," Darko exclaims within a Subscriber email from his label, U DONT DESERVE THIS BEAUTIFUL ART. "Here's what else we having going on for this upcoming Friday: andrew.'s Pop 1967 on cassette, a new release from Broke MC & DJ Halo, and a big ole merch sale. See ya then!" Darko continued. Darko The Super's "Loner" is now available on Spotify and other like-minded digital streaming platforms. Cruising with Darko & The Jets/Crew Zen drop this upcoming Friday, 9/3 on Cold Rhymes Records for Bandcamp Friday.

[W]reckless, Topless American Youth: Lana del Rey - "Born 2 Die" (Britney Spears Birthday 30)

Lana del Rey [Lizzy Grant] effectively became 2011's "It Girl" with the release of her phenomenal debut single, "Video Games" (Stranger) . Like many struggling singer-songwriters, Grant has been signed, dropped, and significantly changed her public image since bursting onto the scene (2009). With that said, it can be assumed that Lana del Rey has collected just as many "haters" as she has avid supporters. To be perfectly honest, the only other artist I can think of that made this much commotion... garnered so much wide-spread buzz/hate and critical acclaim -- right out of the gates -- with just one track is Britney Spears . And maybe in this post- Mike musical era, that's the true synthesis of Pop Culture: Britney Lynn Spears . After months of repeated teasing and speculation, Lana del Rey 's major label debut, Born 2 Die will [finally] be released this coming Jan. 30-31, 2012. Pitchfork reports that it will feature "Off to The Ra

Needless to say, Lindsay Lohan has gotten roped up in a lot of troubles and woes with the law over the last 3-5 years... a vicious cycle of drugs, arrest, court, rehab, "daddy issues," jail time [Repeat]. That's the pure basics of it - But Google that shit for additional info, if necessary. Towards the end of
