Jon Snodgrass & His Buddies Release One-year Anniversary Edition of VANNEN/Destroyers of Sleep EP with New Digital Bonus Tracks (Stay Free Recordings)

"Happy one-year anniversary to the @jonsnodgrass & His Buddies 7-inch record. To celebrate the occasion, we decided it was time to finally release the songs for download. LINK IN BIO. As a bonus, Snodgrass, also, threw in a few unreleased demos of "Vannen, The Friend" & "Destroyers of Sleep" that are only available at @Bandcamp! Six songs total for only $5. Thanks again to everyone involved (@StayFreeRecordings, @ChrisShary, @VannenWatches, Billy, Miles, Frank, Julia, Conor, and Jaybird) and, also, a massive thanks to ALL of you out there who bought the 7-inch. THANK YOU. Stay sweet. ⚾🐊⏰💜," VANNEN (@vannenwatches) wrote within an Instagram post earlier this week. Yes, you read that right; the now-completely sold out 2021 Jon Snodgrass & His Buddies 7-inch is now available digitally for the first time ever exclusively on Bandcamp.

Jon Snodgrass himself explains, "I wrote about 52 little jingles in 2020. They were ALL pretty much written in the time it takes to play the song. That was kinda the rule; don't be too precious about any of it. Have fun, enlist pals, and make little gifts for people. I'm not really a "solo" artist. I like to play with different people. I'm lucky to do fun stuff with people I admire and are actual buddies of mine. This time, Bill [Stevenson], Miles [Stevenson] & I recorded songs for David Stowe & The Toomey Family as a gift. In turn, they did the art for this 7-inch along with Chris Shary. Perfect dudes to ask because we were ALL already friends with each other on our own. Yes, Chris will get a song too, but, later, because this new label has a two song/200 pressing rule. And that's fine because it's turns out he's, also, good friends with Jon Halprin, who runs the label. It's too perfect, for reals."

"AND Frank Turner confirmed he did, indeed, state, "Sleep Is for The [Week."] It's funny to me that I just sang that out loud. I knew it was "someone" who said it. I thought for a bit... and "A-HA! That's my buddy Frank's line." I'm glad I didn’t reference, "To Be [or] Not to Be" ['cause] I don't have that gentlemen's phone number. Anyhow, The Toomeys run Destroyers of Sleep, where they teach kids to draw! And David [Stowe] has the VANNEN Watch Company, which, as we say in the song, means "THE FRIEND." And that is the whole concept of this release: do what you like with people you like. ['cause] itis a short life. And be nice. And!! We made baseball cards! Because baseball, [in my opinion,] is ALL about humility. You're mostly gonna lose half the time. But, think of it as winning half the time and keep your cool during times of both extremes. The high and the low. "Good Vibes" ✌️?⚾️," Snodgrass continued. Jon Snodgrass, actually, provided a little quasi-track-by-track breakdown on his newly re-released VANNEN / Destroyers of Sleep EP. Check it out below and read along while you listen on Bandcamp.

"Original version [of "VANNEN, The Friend"] from the record."

"Original version [of "Destroyers of Sleep"] from the record. We tacked an instrumental version of "Take Me Out to The Ballgame" at the end. I recorded it on my phone for my friend, Tyler Maun, for an MiLB podcast."

"This was the first take for me. I played it in E major, the key I wrote it in. It wasn't comfortable to sing, so I dropped down to D major. Hearing it again, I think I may play in E major again, though. It's more fun that way."

"I sent this one to David [Stowe] to see if I was on the right track. I was, so I sent it to Bill [Stevenson] and he sent back drums and bass. I'm lucky."

"David [Stowe] never heard this before. It's something I sang into my phone to remind myself to write a jingle for his company."

"I sent this to Cory Toomey to see if I was on the right track. I was, so I sent it to Bill [Stevenson] and the next version is the regular version. Destroyers of Sleep helps teach kids to draw!"

"Let Me Shine for You:" Lindsay Lohan for Playboy (Winter 2011-12 Leak)

Lindsay Lohan essentially embodies exactly "What NOT to Do In Hollywood :" Fame, fortune, success... sex, drugs & Rock "N" Roll . Within a fairly short period of time, Lohan somehow managed to obtain a plentiful helping of POWER @ a very young age. This gradual rise-downfall was captured on film; Between 1998-2010, she portrayed a wide array of roles across the silver screen in movies including: Mean Girls, Bobby , Herbie Fully Loaded , Georgia Rule, Machete , and Freaky Friday . Between rapid-paced film shoots, Lindsay Lohan also found time to record 2 Pop Rock albums for Casablanca , Speak (2004) and A Litter More Personal-Raw (2005). Needless to say, Lindsay Lohan has gotten roped up in a lot of troubles and woes with the law over the last 3-5 years... a vicious cycle of drugs, arrest, court, rehab, "daddy issues," jail time [Repeat]. That's the pure basics of it - But Google that shit for additional info, if necessary. Towards the end of...

Jet Planes, Islands, Tigers On a Gold Leash: Lorde - "Royals" (The Weeknd Remixo)

I think it's pretty safe to say that The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) comfortably teeters the fine line between glitched-out smooth New Age R&B and hard-hitting Hip-Hop ; while the same could arguably be said for 16-year-old New Zealand new-comer, Lorde . Her break-out single "Royals" 1/2 jokingly shouts out semi-common bravado-worthy shit like: diamonds, "gold teeth, Grey Goose ... Cadillacs, Cristal, Maybach ... jet planes, islands, [and] tigers on a gold leash." But now, the Lorde/Weeknd connection has been further solidified, as Tesfaye recently managed to conjure up and release his own "Royals" remix. My beautiful girlfriend said earlier, and I paraphrase, that it "makes her wanna dance lol and she could [likely] hear this remix in a future movie!" Following the wide-spread release of her first 2 EP's (Love Club & Tennis Court) , Universal Republic plans to unleash Lorde 's proper debut album, Pure Heroine between ...

Pop Artist & Surfer Chronicle Intriguing Ex-Pornstar In "SASHA GREY."

Seemingly made to co-exist as thought-provoking companion pieces... "LINDSAY LOHAN" directors Richard Phillips & Taylor Steele are back with their most recent Art Presentation, "SASHA GREY." The 90-second short film was shot in early May @ John Lautner Chemosphere House in Los Angeles, CA. Both striking flicks will be shown on a giant floating video screen [ "Commercial Break" ] @ Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Venice, Italy (June 1-5). "Adult acting chops" aside, Sasha (23) seems very intelligent, captivating, free-spirited, business savvy, well-mannered, charming... and dare I say, "average." And I really think that's exactly what Phillips/Steele were trying to convey throughout the course of the piece; Grey's beauty, public draw, sheer likeability, and honesty will surely take her very far in future endeavors...
