2Minute Minor, Blindside, Life Force, To Live As Sons, Vangard, xIron Sharpens Ironx & ZAO Form XREDLINEX & Share Debut Single "11th Hour" (self-released)
XREDLINEX is a Chicago-based Straight Edge Hardcore/Punk started by Marko Karacic, formerly of 90's SWedish/Chicago Post-hardcore band Blindside. Karacic brought on both current and ex-members of 2Minute Minor, Colt Snuffer & The Dead Horsemen, Life Force, Monroe, October Bird of Death, To Live As Sons, Vangard, What's Your Damage?, xIron Sharpens Ironx, and ZAO. XREDLINEX's current line-up features Karacic on guitar along with frontman Wiley "Murder" Willis, bassist Mic Cox, guitarist Joshua "Josh" Conlee, and drummer Larry Passenier. XREDLINEX has been in the gestational stage for quite some time now and we've been in contact with both Marko Karacic & Wiley Willis from 2Minute Minor about the progression of the band leading up to their debut release.
Earlier this month, XREDLINEX self-released their first single, "11th Hour," onto streaming services, as well as an accompanying music video. Said video was shot by Wiley Willis and edited by Ben David Armstrong with the recording itself boasting added "gang" vocals from Tom Piotrowski & Jesse Hawley, recorded by Rob Byrd at Makeshift Studio, Chicago, Illinois, edited and mixed by Josh Conlee, and mastered by Will Killingsworth. XREDLINEX's "11th Hour" msuic video was premiered over the course of two days back-to-back at NO ECHO & Indie Vision Music. "The single, "11th Hour," was written for a friend that committed suicide. We just wanted to show our respect for people struggling and let people know they are not alone. Suicide effects everyone around them and it's a doorway to the unknown that doesn't need to be opened."
"We will all face death one day because that is just a part of life, but I hope it's not by the way of suicide. Life is worth living and we miss the Hell out of our friends and family that have crossed over," XREDLINEX shared within a heart-felt statement posted to their Bandcamp page. "11th Hour" can likely be best described as showcasing a day in the life of XREDXLINEX's five members over ferocious pummeling double-guitar riffs from Marko Karacic & Josh Conlee and impassioned wailed vocals from seasoned frontman Wiley "Murder" Willis. It ends with a thoughtful on-screen remidner, "Just because one smiles on the outside doesn't mean they're not broken on the inside," along with a number for help: 1-800-273-TALK (/8255.) XREDLINEX's "11th Hour" is currently available on streaming services and the band tells us they expect to release a three-song demo release next, "if people dig it." So, go stream "11th Hour" (repeatedly!) now, so we can hear more music from XREDLINEX!
