PURE HEEL Return with Super-limited Edition Lathe-cut Picture Disc 7-inch Single & Music Video "Rockin' In The Free World" (Irish Voodoo Records)

It should be no secret by now that Buffalo Wrestle-core bruisers PURE HEEL are one of our favorite rising Punk/Hardcore-adjacent bands here at The Witzard. HEEL's current line-up consists of Eric Borawski AKA Doughy Ramone AKA Sweaty Vedder AKA Thick Neilsen AKA Bad Borawski, Jay Galvin AKA Captain Annoying, Jesse Muscato AKA The Claw, Rob Ohlenschlager AKA The Boy, and Joey Simmen AKA The Mangler. Amongst them, PURE HEEL's members have collectively spent time playing with The Bonesaw Romance, Buried Alive, Despair, Ghosts of War, Heavy Hearted, Kid Gorgeous, Lewd Dwedz Phased Out, P*ssing Match, Slugfest, Worse Things, and Wreckage. PURE HEEL have been together since 2016 and started dropping music online with Demo '16, soon followed up by King Kong Bundy EP (2017,) and Crime Spree (2019) all self-released on their Bandcamp page.

PURE HEEL signed with Fullerton, California-based Irish Voodoo Records in 2020 and shortly dropped a self-titled 2-track lathe-cut/digital single featuring "Solitary" & "King of Nothing." Just about a year later, PURE HEEL returned to Irish Voodoo to drop their second self-titled release, this time, boasting five tracks and availabe on multiple colored 7-inch vinyl colorways and, of course, digitally. Just yesterday, PURE HEEL returned once more to Irish Voodoo Records with a new release just in time for St. Patty's Day entitled "Rockin' In The Free World." It's a super-limited edition lathe-cut picture disc 7-inch vinyl limited to 25 copies. We bought a copy yesterday afternoon and as of press time today, there were only nine copies left! Irish Voodoo's product listing page briefly explains, "Two-Song Single. First song is a cover of "Rockin' In The Free World" by Neil Young. Second song is a secret."

Captain Annoying ellaborated a bit, via email: "the world is falling apart and Niel [Young] knew it 30 years ago. We are just broadcasting his message to a 21st Century audience. "Hey hey, my my... PURE HEEL will never die.'" Just in case you miss out on a chance to get one of these super-limited edition St. Patrick's day treat 7-inches, there's an accompanying music video for PURE HEEL's version of "Rockin' In The Free World" now available on Irish Voodoo Records' YouTube channel. PURE HEEL posted "{wondering where we've been?!} WE ARE CURRENTLY WRITING/RECORDING A NEW ALBUM FOR Irish Voodoo Records. We are excited for this release and, honestly, we agree this will be our best batch of songs to date. Until then, help us out! Grab a shirt from our webstore or grab some records from Irish Voodoo. Up THE HEELS. Buffalo style" on their Facebook page last November. While supplies last, there are 25 24 9 6 copies remaining of PURE HEEL's new limited edition thathe-cut picture disc 7-inch, "Rockin' In The Free World," now availabe directly from Irish Voodoo Records.

[W]reckless, Topless American Youth: Lana del Rey - "Born 2 Die" (Britney Spears Birthday 30)

Lana del Rey [Lizzy Grant] effectively became 2011's "It Girl" with the release of her phenomenal debut single, "Video Games" (Stranger) . Like many struggling singer-songwriters, Grant has been signed, dropped, and significantly changed her public image since bursting onto the scene (2009). With that said, it can be assumed that Lana del Rey has collected just as many "haters" as she has avid supporters. To be perfectly honest, the only other artist I can think of that made this much commotion... garnered so much wide-spread buzz/hate and critical acclaim -- right out of the gates -- with just one track is Britney Spears . And maybe in this post- Mike musical era, that's the true synthesis of Pop Culture: Britney Lynn Spears . After months of repeated teasing and speculation, Lana del Rey 's major label debut, Born 2 Die will [finally] be released this coming Jan. 30-31, 2012. Pitchfork reports that it will feature "Off to The Ra

"Let Me Shine for You:" Lindsay Lohan for Playboy (Winter 2011-12 Leak)

Lindsay Lohan essentially embodies exactly "What NOT to Do In Hollywood :" Fame, fortune, success... sex, drugs & Rock "N" Roll . Within a fairly short period of time, Lohan somehow managed to obtain a plentiful helping of POWER @ a very young age. This gradual rise-downfall was captured on film; Between 1998-2010, she portrayed a wide array of roles across the silver screen in movies including: Mean Girls, Bobby , Herbie Fully Loaded , Georgia Rule, Machete , and Freaky Friday . Between rapid-paced film shoots, Lindsay Lohan also found time to record 2 Pop Rock albums for Casablanca , Speak (2004) and A Litter More Personal-Raw (2005). Needless to say, Lindsay Lohan has gotten roped up in a lot of troubles and woes with the law over the last 3-5 years... a vicious cycle of drugs, arrest, court, rehab, "daddy issues," jail time [Repeat]. That's the pure basics of it - But Google that shit for additional info, if necessary. Towards the end of
