"The Lonely Island" is the collective moniker for Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer. AKA: The comedic troupe behind great televised/musical moments like "Lazy Sunday," "Like a Boss," "Dick In a Box," "Jizz In My Pants," and "I'm on a Boat."
On the heels of Hot Rod (2007 feature film), Incredibad (2009), countless landmark SNL skits, and Taccone's MacGruber film (2010)... The Lonely Island now present, their just-released sophomore album - Turtleneck & Chain. Featured guests include: Akon, Beck, Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj, and Santigold. The most recently pushed single (#6?) and SNL Digital Short is Track #4 - "Jack Sparrow" [-feat. Michael Bolton]. The clip debuted on live TV this past Saturday night, Mother's Day. Again, Turtleneck & Chain is now available for purchase @ your local record store.
