By now, most of you are probably familiar with Bruno Mars - The singer/songwriter responsible for penning recent Pop hits like "Nothin' On You," "Billionaire," and "F*ck You." Following this string of successful [featured] singles, Mars released an EP, It's Better If You Don't Understand, which was then followed by Doo-Wops & Hooligans (a full-length LP).
"Liquor Store Blues," previously released in 2010 as a "Promotional Single" [sans video], is the latest album track to get the visual treatment. It was preceded by other Smeezingtons-produced singles: "Just the Way You Are," "Grenade," and "The Lazy Song(?)." But back to "Liquor Store Blues" -- It features a Reggae-tinged backing track and the vocal stylings of Bob Marley's youngest son, Damian "Jr. Gong."
While I haven't heard all of the album's 10 tracks, this one seems to [instantly] be the catchiest and most original piece. Bruno Mars, Mayer Hawthorne & The County, and Janelle Monáe are currently on the "Hooligans In Wonderland" [Nation-wide] Tour... with dates running through June.
